Although our course, the Brighton Public Golf Course, is nestled among the houses in a relatively affluent inner south eastern suburb of Melbourne it is not without it’s beauty. Here is a pic of the water storage located behind the 10th green, beside the 2nd fairway and at the rear of the 11th tee.
As you can see this is a wonderful natural habitat for water birds quite apart from providing us golfers with an aesthetically pleasing outlook.
So no matter how good, or otherwise, your round of golf is on any particular day the old adage of the “Worst round of golf being better then the best day at work” holds true when you can look at these wonders of nature.
We can only hope and pray that the good work envisaged and planned by the Bayside City Council and L.M.S. to upgrade the ‘course in 2017 results in more areas looking as fertile and beautiful as this.
